Hobbit Adventures welcomes you! if you've been here before and are wondering what happened, I have given my website a new name and a new theme. It is no longer "Lord of the Rings" but "Hobbit Adventures"! I needed to get my website its own domain name and couldn't believe that hobbitadventures.net was available :0) This is going to work out well because the Hobbit movies will be coming out next year hopefully so I will be ready for that event! Check back for new pictures, Lord of the Rings and Hobbit story Quotes and new merchandise because I will be doing a lot of updating. I have received a lot of reviews of this website (when it was Lord of the Rings) from people who really like it and have made good suggestions. I thank you all very much! I hope you come back again.  Leaving the Shire "If you have read the book, "The Fellowship of the Ring" you will remember that when Frodo and Sam first left Hobbiton on their adventure, Merry and Pippin were with them from the beginning. Also, they visit with the high elves in the woods and sup with them. It is quite wonderful as Sam is enthralled by elves to start with.These are small exerps from chapter 3. "...As they began to climb its first slopes they looked back and saw the lamps in Hobbiton far off twinkling in the gentle valley of the water."... "When the light of the last farm was far behind, peeping among the trees, Frodo turned and waved a hand in farewell. "I wonder if I shall ever look down into that valley again." He said quietly. When they had walked for about three hours they rested. The night was clear, cool, and starry but smoke-like wisps of mist were creeping up the side-hills from the streams and deep meadows. Thin-clad birches, swaying in a light wind above their heads made a black net against the pale sky. "  "Listen! They are coming this way', said Frodo. We have only to wait.' The singing drew nearer. One clear voice rose now above the others. It was singing in the fair elven-tongue, of which Frodo knew only a little and the others knew nothing. Yet the sound blending with the melody seemed to shape itslf in their thought into words which they only partly understood. The song ended. These are high Elves! They spoke the name of Elbereth!' Frodo said in amazement. 'Few of the fairest folk are ever seen in the Shire. Not many now remain in Middle-Earth, east of the great sea. This is indeed a strange chance!' "  Wood Elves "...Frodo sat, eating, drinking, and talking with delight; but his mind was chiefly on the words spoken. He knew a little of the elf-speech and listened eagerly. Now and again he spoke to those that served him and thanked them in their own language. They smiled at him and said laughing: "Here is a jewel among hobbits!"
